American flamingo
The American flamingo or caribbean flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber) is a species of flamingo that occurs in Central America. It is related to the Greater flamingo, and the Chilean flamingo. It can also be found on the Galapagos Islands. The American flamingo's main traits are pink fur and long legs. It is also known as the Caribbean flamingo, although its found in the Galápagos Islands. It is the only flamingo that naturally lives in North America.
