Amrish Puri
Amrish Lal Puri (22 June 1932 – 12 January 2005[1]) was an Indian actor, who was an important figure in Indian theatre and cinema. He is remembered for playing iconic villainous roles in Hindi cinema as well as other Indian and international film industries. To Indian audiences he is the most remembered for his role as Mogambo in Shekhar Kapur's Hindi film Mr. India (1987), and to foreign audiences, he is best known as Mola Ram in Steven Spielberg's Hollywood film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). He is also notable for films such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Mohabbatein, Pardes, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.

He predominantly appears on Hindi language films, but he had also appeared in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi language films. Puri won three Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actor.[2]
He died on January 12, 2005, at the age of 72, due to myelodysplastic syndrome, after suffering from it for two weeks.[3]
