Anthony Sowell
Anthony Edward Sowell (August 19, 1959 – February 8, 2021)[1] was an American serial killer and rapist. He was known as the Cleveland Strangler. He was arrested in October 2009 after the bodies of eleven women were discovered by police at his home, 12205 Imperial Avenue, in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio.[2]

He was imprisoned at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution. On January 21, 2021, he began receiving end-of-life care at the Franklin Medical Center for a terminal illness. He died on February 8, in Columbus, Ohio.[3][4]
