Armed Forces of the Argentine Republic
The Argentine Armed Forces constitute the military instrument for the national defense of Argentina. The Armed Forces are exclusively the Army, the Navy and the Air Force. In addition to national defense, they participate in supporting the community in emergency situations, deploying troops in peacekeeping operations under UN mandate, and providing logistical and transportation support to the Argentine presence in Antarctica.

The President of Argentina is the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and is responsible for the leadership of the military instrument, in accordance with the powers conferred by Article 99 of the Argentine Constitution.
