Arrondissement of Lodève
The arrondissement of Lodève is an arrondissement of France. It is part of the Hérault département. Its capital is the city of Lodève.

History
When the Hérault department was created on 17 February 1800, the arrondissement of Lodève was part of that original department.[1]
The arrondissement was eliminated in 1926 but was made again an arrondissement in 1942.
Geography
It is the northernmost of the arrondissements of the department, with an area of 1,819.6 km2 (702.6 sq mi).[2] It has 94,714 inhabitants and a density of 52.1 inhabitants/km².[3]
The arrondissement of Lodève is bordered to the north by the Gard department, to the east by the arrondissement of Montpellier, to the south by the arrondissement of Béziers, and to the west by the Aveyron department.
