Azaria Alon
Azaria Alon (November 15, 1918 – January 19, 2014) was an Israeli environmentalist. He was the co-founder of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI).[1]

Alon received an Israel Prize for lifetime achievement in 2012. He had previously been cited for the Israel Prize when the SPNI won it in 1980.[2][3]
Alon died on January 19, 2014 from natural causes, aged 95.
