Barbara Underwood
Barbara Dale Underwood (born August 16, 1944) is an American lawyer. She was the New York State Attorney General from May 8, 2018, to December 31, 2018. She was the first woman to serve as Attorney General in the State of New York.[1] She served as the Solicitor General of New York, first appointed to the position by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo in January 2007, and reappointed in 2011 by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.
