Battle of Kherson
The Battle of Kherson was a military engagement between Russian and Ukrainian forces which began on 24 February 2022, as part of the Kherson offensive during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

On 2 March 2022, Ukrainian forces left Kherson during the battle and Russia took control of the city.[3][4]
Eight months after the battle: the city back under Ukraine's control
Ukraine took again control of the city of Kherson, on 11 November 2022. (Regarding other parts of Kherson Oblast: as of December, Russia was still in control of large parts of Kherson oblast - East of the Dniepr river.)
