Borkum
Borkum is an island and municipality of the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. In 2016, the municipality had about 5,500 people. It covers an area of 31 square kilometres (12 square miles).

Borkum makes part of the East Frisian Islands (German: Ostfriesische Inseln). It is the most western island.
Borkum is west of the island of Juist (and the uninhabited islands of Brauerplate, Kachelotplate and Memmert). It is east of the small Dutch island of Rottumeroog.
