"C.R.E.A.M." (acronym for Cash Rules Everything Around Me) is the second single off of American rap group Wu-Tang Clan's first studio album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The song was released on January 31, 1994. The song was recorded at Firehouse Studio in New York City and samples the Charmels' 1967 song "As Long As I've Got You".[1]

The song was able to make it to #8 on the Hot Rap Songs, #32 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and #60 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.[2][3][4] The song was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[5] It is considered to be one of the greatest hip hop songs of all time. Time named it one of their All-Time 100 Greatest Songs,[6] and Rolling Stone listed it as #11 on their The 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time list as well as #107 on their 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.[7][8]

In the song, members of Wu-Tang rap about their lives growing up living in poverty in the projects. A music video for the song was released. In the video, Wu-Tang goes from rapping while hanging around the projects in Staten Island, to driving in a Mercedes-Benz, and partying with champagne.
