Canet gun
The Canet guns were designed by Gustave Canet (1846-1913) for Schneider et Cie.
Schneider was successful in sales to the Empire of Japan.
The guns supplied to Japan equipped the cruisers Matsushima, Itsukushima, and Hashidate. [1]
The guns were used during the First Sino-Japanese War.

Gustave Canet
One surviving Canet M890 (100mm) gun used by the Brazilian Army to control the Canudos uprising in 1897. This piece of artillery can now be seen at the Museu Militar Conde de Linhares (Count Linhares Military Museum) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Schneider-Canet turret gun
Gun barrel of a frech 155mm with spherical brech. The breechblock was removed. It was used in a 1x155mm Galopin Turret.
