Cirsium arvense
Cirsium arvense is a perennial species of flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is native in Europe, western Asia, and northern Africa. It is common in some other parts of the world where people have carried it. The standard English name in its native area is creeping thistle. It is also sometimes known as Canada thistle (a mistake, as it is not native in Canada) and field thistle.
