City Theater of Tehran
The City Theater of Tehran is a performing arts center in Tehran, Iran's capital. It was built in the 1960s by architect Ali Sardar Afkhami, with support from Shahbanu Farah Pahlavi during Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's reign.[1]
The theater opened in 1972 and has several halls, including Cheharsou, Qashqai, Sayeh, the performance studio, and the main hall. Since the 1979 Revolution, it has been managed by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. The City Theater is closed on Saturdays.[2]
