Code Lyoko
Code Lyoko is a French animated television series.
Story
Code Lyoko is about five teenagers who are juggling with their normal school life and a virtual world called Lyoko. The world of Lyoko is inside a supercomputer that the kids found in an old factory near their school. The supercomputer is sometimes called a supercalculaor. On Lyoko, they discover XANA, who is their enemy throuoguht the show. XANA is a computer virus that is very smart, but also evil. He activates "towers" on Lyoko, which allow him to attack the real world. The five kids must go into the supercomputer to stop him.
Aelita, Ulrich, Yumi and Odd go into Lyoko. Jeremie does not go into Lyoko. Instead, he is the one who operates the supercomputer from the outside, and lets them go into Lyoko. When the 4 of them are ready to go to Lyoko he "virtualizes" them. Then he tells Aelita, Yumi, Ulrich and Odd where the tower is. When Aelita deactivates the tower, Jeremie presses a button on the supercalculator's keyboard and says "return to the past now." In the episode "The Key", XANA stole the keys to Lyoko from Aelita's memory. This allows XANA to escape the supercomputer and go onto the internet. Then XANA made replicas of Lyoko and, using the Skidblanir, the Lyoko warriors destroy the replicas one by one. In Code Lyoko Evolution, the sequel to Code Lyoko, they have codes. With the codes, everyone can deactivate towers. XANA tries to steal their codes to prevent this.
Main characters
Jeremy Belpois: Jeremy is a very clever boy. He is the best of his class, and even of the school, in all the subjects, except sports. He is also a computer genius. He restarted the supercomputer that contained Lyoko (see 3x: XANA Awakens). In the factory, he is the supervisor: he virtualizes the Lyoko warriors and the vehicles, he lets them know the Life Points they still have and where the towers and the monsters are. He has never been seen on Lyoko, but he attempted it a few times. First time, the transfer failed and he was stuck in the "Virtual Limbo". The second time, he went to a world parallel to Lyoko, that was made by XANA. The third time, it was successful, but we did not see him, but according to Odd and Ulrich, he looked "ridiculous". He was 10 years old in the pilot (season 0 (pre-1)) (2001), 11 years old in season 1 (2003-2004), and 12-13 years old in seasons 2-5 (2005-2013). Jeremy's girlfriend is Aelita and best friends are Odd, Ulrich and William.
Odd Della Robbia: Odd's vehicle in Lyoko is the overboard to ride around in Lyoko. Odd's attack is laser arrows that come out of his hand and he screams "laser arrow!" Odd is not very good when it comes to school but he always makes people laugh. Odd wears purple and a little bit of yellow. He is 11 years old in the pilot, 12-13 years old in season 1, and 14 years old in seasons 2-5.
Ulrich Stern: Ulrich is one of the Lyoko warriors. Ulrich had causing constant visions of his past in his mind in the episode "Amnesia". On Lyoko, he is a samurai, and has a katana, and his vehicle is the overbike. He can use "Triplicate" in order to create two clones of himself, and "Supersprint" to run quickly. When he uses both at the same time, it's called "Triangulate". On Earth, he is very mysterious, and does not often speak about himself. He has a crush on Yumi, who also has a crush on him, but they never admit it. He is 11 years old in the pilot, 12-13 years old in season 1, and 14 years old in seasons 2-5.
Yumi Ishiyama: Yumi is a Japanese girl. Her vehicle in Lyoko is the overwing. She is a day student at Kadic. She has a crush on Ulrich. She often wears black clothes. She has a brother: Hiroki (who cameo appeared in the episode "Zero Gravity Zone"). In Lyoko, she wears her traditional Japanese warrior outfit proudly as she defeats XANA's monsters with her metallic fan. She is 12 years old in the pilot, 13-14 years old in season 1, and 15 years old in seasons 2-5.
Aelita Schaeffer-Hopper (Stones): In the first two seasons, Aelita is someone who does not really fight. She deactivates the towers that XANA activated. In Code Lyoko, she is the only one who can deactivate towers. However, in the third season she can throw energy fields as an attack. In the fourth season, she can fly using wings that are activated by a star wristband. She is 12-13 in season 1, and 14 years old in seasons 2-5.
