Communist Party of Vietnam
The Communist Party of Vietnam is the political party that controls Vietnam.
History
The Party was founded in 3 February 1930 by Ho Chi Minh as the Indochinese Communist Party. Ho led the party to power in 1945. In 1954, the country was divided into two at the Geneva Conference. After that, the party ruled only North Vietnam until 1975, when the party once again ruled over a united Vietnam.
