Council of States (Switzerland)
The Council of States (German: [Ständerat] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help), French: [Conseil des États] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help), Italian: [Consiglio degli Stati] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help), Romansh: [Cussegl dals Stadis] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) is the smaller chamber of the Federal Assembly of Switzerland. It is thought to be the Assembly's upper house, with the National Council being the lower house. It comprises 46 members.[1]
