Daman and Diu
Daman and Diu was a union territory in India. It covers an area of 50 sq mi (130 km2). The area is bigger than Saint Helena but smaller than Wallis and Futuna. It was made of two districts, Daman and Diu.
The territory used to belong to Portugal. In 1961, Indian soldiers and air fighters took control of the territory.[1] In 2020, it merged with Dadra and Nagar Haveli to make a new union territory, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.[2]
