Dave Severance

Dave Elliott Severance (February 4, 1919 – August 4, 2021) was a United States Marine Corps colonel. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During World War II, he was the commanding officer of Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 28th Marines. He was a veteran of the Battle of Iwo Jima.[1]

In February 2019, Severance turned 100.[2] He died on August 4, 2021 in La Jolla, California at the age of 102.[3]
