Davoud Ahmadinejad (13 March 1950 – 4 October 2017)[1] was an Iranian politician and older brother of former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad[2] and Parvin Ahmadinejad.[3] He was born in Aradan, Iran.

After the election of his brother as president in 2005, he was appointed as the head of the Presidential Inspection Commission.[4]

In 2013, Ahmadinejad ran for President of Iran in the presidential election in 2013, but withdrew before the election was held.[5]

On 4 October 2017, Ahmadinejad died in Tehran of a heart attack at the age of 67.[1]
