Derek William Draper (15 August 1967 – 5 January 2024) was an English former lobbyist. As a political adviser he was involved in two political scandals, "Lobbygate" in 1998, and again in 2009 while Draper was editor of the LabourList website. He worked as a psychotherapist.

He was the author of two books, Blair's 100 Days and Life Support.

Draper had an unusually severe case of prolonged COVID; he was hospitalized in March 2020, suffering from COVID-19. He remained in the hospital for a year. Six months after returning home, he remained seriously disabled.

On 5 January 2024, Draper's wife Kate Garraway announced that Draper had died from a heart attack caused by COVID-19 at the age of 56.[1][2]
