Discovery Kids was a Taiwanese pay television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA. It launched on August 29, 1997. However, it was closed on June 8, 2022.

History

On August 29, 1997, Discovery Kids launched in Taiwan. On September 8, 1999, Discovery Kids Taiwan was rebranded. On November 8, 2003, Discovery Kids Taiwan was rebranded. Discovery Kids was rebranded on 8 May 2005 using the 2005 rebrand. On October 8, 2011, the Taiwanese feed of Discovery Kids was rebranded using the 2009 rebrand. On January 8, 2015, the Taiwanese feed of Discovery Kids started using the 2013 rebrand. On November 19, 2015, the Taiwanese feed of Discovery Kids started broadcasting in 16:9 aspect ratio. On February 15, 2016, Doki premiered on Hong Kong television on Discovery Kids. On June 8, 2018, the Taiwanese feed of Discovery Kids started using the 2016 rebrand. On June 8, 2020, the Taiwanese feed of Discovery Kids started using the Wake up the fun idents. On April 15, 2022, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that Discovery Kids Taiwan would close on June 8, 2022 2 months after the merger. On June 8, 2022, Discovery Kids was closed.
