Donetsk Oblast
Donetsk Oblast (Ukrainian: Донецька область) is an oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine. The administrative centre is Donetsk. The population of Donetsk Oblast was 4,100,280 in 2021.[1]
Warfare in eastern Ukraine during the Russo-Ukrainian War has been ongoing since 2014. As of 2025, the line of contact goes through Donetsk Oblast. Sometimes it is called the Donetsk front. It is part of the Southern Front and the Eastern Front.
