Ed Lauter
Edward Matthew "Ed" Lauter II[1] (October 30, 1938 – October 16, 2013), known as Ed Lauter, was an American actor and stand-up comedian. He was known for his roles in Family Plot, Cujo, Death Wish III, Born on the Fourth of July, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, The Number 23, and in Trouble with the Curve.

Lauter was born on October 30, 1938 in Long Beach, New York.[2] He studied at Long Island University. Lauter was married four times. His last marriage was to Marchell Doreen Williams from 2005 until his death in 2013. He had four children. Lauter died on October 16, 2013 in Los Angeles, California from mesothelioma, aged 74.[3]
