Efraín Ríos Montt
José Efraín Ríos Montt (Spanish pronunciation: [efɾaˈin ˈri.os ˈmont]; June 16, 1926 – April 1, 2018) was a Guatemalan politician. He was President of Guatemala from 1982 to 1983.[1] An army general, his time in office was marked by the Guatemalan Civil War. Years later, he served as president of Congress. His daughter is former congresswoman and presidential candidate Zury Ríos.
