Ernesto Geisel

Ernesto Beckmann Geisel (Portuguese pronunciation: [eɾˈnɛstu ˈbɛkmɐ̃ ˈɡajzew], German pronunciation: [ɛɐ̯ˈnesto ˈbɛkman ˈɡaɪzl̩]; August 3, 1907 – September 12, 1996) was a Brazilian Army officer and politician. He was President of Brazil from 1974 to 1979, during the Brazilian military government.[1]
