Eurovision Song Contest 2004
The Eurovision Song Contest 2004 was the 49th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. The semi-final took place on the 12 May and the grand final on 15 May 2004.[1] The contest was held in Istanbul, Turkey, following their win at the 2003 contest with the song "Everyway That I Can" by Sertab Erener.

36 countries took part in the contest, with Albania, Andorra, Belarus & Serbia and Montenegro taking part for the first time ever, while Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Macedonia, Monaco and Switzerland returned after their relegation in 2003.
The winner was Ukraine with the song "Wild Dances", performed by Ruslana.
Location
Istanbul is the largest city of Turkey. The venue was the Abdi İpekçi Arena.[2]
