FC Akhmat Grozny

FC Akhmat Grozny (Chechen: футболан клуб Ахмат Соьлжа-ГӀала, futbolan klub akhmat cölzha ġala; Russian: Республиканский футбольный клуб Ахмат Грозный, Respublikanskiy futbol'nyy klub akhmat groznyy; Republican Football Club Akhmat Grozny) is a association football club from Grozny, Chechnya, Russia. From 1958 until 2017, the club was named Terek Grozny. The club plays in the Russian Premier League.

The club is currently named after the 1st Chechen President, Akhmad Kadyrov[1]

Akhmat Grozny currently plays their games in the Akhmat-Arena. Because of the war in Chechnya, from the 1990's to 2007 they played their home games in Pyatigorsk, Stavropol Krai. Before the 2008 season, the Russian Football Union allowed the club to play their home matches in Grozny.[2]
