Fars province

Fars Province (Persian: استان فارس, Ostān-e Fārs ) is one of the 31 provinces of Iran. It is also historically known to foreigners as Persia, Parsa, Persis and is the historical homeland of the Persian people.[2] Its capital is Shiraz. The majority religion is Shia although there is a minority Sunni Persians living in the province also.
