Formoso is a city in Jewell County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, 94 people lived there.[3]

History
The first post office at Formoso was founded in December 1887.[4]
Formoso was founded about 1889.[5]

According to the United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.25 square miles (0.65 km2). All of it is land.[2]

2020 census
The 2020 census says that there were 94 people, 43 households, and 22 families living in Formoso. Of the households, 93.0% owned their home and 7.0% rented their home.
The median age was 37.5 years. Of the people, 87.2% were White, 3.2% were from some other race, and 9.6% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 9.6% of the people.[3][7]
2010 census
The 2010 census says that there were 93 people, 48 households, and 26 families living in the city.[8]
Education
Formoso is a part of USD 107 Rock Hills Schools. The Rock Hills High School mascot is Rock Hills Grizzlies.[9]
Formoso schools closed through school unification. The Formoso High School mascot was Formoso Falcons.[10]
