Formula racing
Formula racing, also known as open-wheel racing in North America, is a type of open wheel motorsport. The name comes from a set of rules, or a "formula", that are followed by the makers of the cars. The best known of these formulae are Formula One, Formula E, Formula Two, Formula Three, regional Formula Three and Formula Four. Common usage of "formula racing" also includes other single-seater series, such as the IndyCar Series and the Super Formula Championship.
