Frans Timmermans
Franciscus Cornelis Gerardus Maria Timmermans (Dutch pronunciation: [frɑnˈsɪskʏs kɔrˈneːlɪs xeːˈrɑrdʏs frɑns ˈtɪmərˌmɑns];[1] born 6 May 1961) is a Dutch politician. He is the First Vice President of the European Commission since 2014. He is also the Executive Vice President of the European Commission for the European Green Deal and European Commissioner for Climate Action since 2019.[2]

In July 2023, Timmermans announced his plans to run for Prime Minister of the Netherlands and to run in the 2023 general election.[3]
