Ghost in the Machine is the fourth studio album by English band The Police. It was released on 2 October 1981 through A&M Records. It went to number 1 in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and Italy, number 2 in the United States, number 5 in New Zealand and Norway.
