The government of Bangladesh, also called the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (Bengali: গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ সরকার, romanized: Gôṇôprôjatôntri Baṅladeś Sôrkar, bn), is a parliamentary representative democratic republic. The Prime Minister of Bangladesh is the head of government.

The Constitution of Bangladesh was written in 1972. There have been fifteen amendments.[1]

All citizens that live in Bangladesh are able to vote after they turn 18. There are 300 members of the legislature. They are elected at least every 5 years.
