The government of Bangladesh, also called the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (Bengali: গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ সরকার, romanized: Gôṇôprôjatôntri Baṅladeś Sôrkarcode: bn is deprecated , bn), is a parliamentary representative democratic republic. The Prime Minister of Bangladesh is the head of government.

The Constitution of Bangladesh was written in 1972. There have been fifteen amendments.

All citizens that live in Bangladesh are able to vote after they turn 18. There are 300 members of the legislature. They are elected at least every 5 years.
