- Singer Phil Collins appears as himself in the game, making him the first real-life celebrity to appear physically in a GTA game.
- The same mechanic was also the featured in the mobile versions of 3D Universe games.
- Unlike it's predecessor, this game was not ported for mobile.
- The Midnight Mix featured in the game of Kajagoogoo song "Too Shy" in the instrumental of Radio Station The Wave 103.
- The PS2 version of the game added 5 Rampages, 6 Unique Stunt Jumps and 6 Side Missions with "Hyman Memorial O.D.T.", "Caddy Daddy", "Crims On Water Wings", "Playground on the Docks", "Rush!" and "Playground on the Park".
- The PSP version rampage in the Easter Egg Building and the PS2 version rampage in the Dirt Track.
