Greg Iles

Greg Iles (April 8, 1960 – August 15, 2025) was an American novelist. His best known novels were The Quiet Game (1999), 24 Hours (2000), Sleep No More (2002) and The Footprints of God (2003).[1]

Iles was born in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany, where his American father worked at the U.S. Embassy.[2] He was raised in Natchez, Mississippi.[3]

Iles was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 1996.[1] He died from the disease on August 15, 2025 at his home in Natchez at the age of 65.[4]
