Gurnee, Illinois

Gurnee (/ˈɡɜːrˌn/) is a village in Lake County, Illinois, United States. Its population was 31,295 as of the 2010 census.[1] It borders the city of Waukegan and is thought to be a part of the Chicago metropolitan area. It is named after Mayor of Chicago Walter S. Gurnee.

It is best known for being the location of Six Flags Great America and Gurnee Mills, together drawing over 26 million visitors annually.[2]
