Harry Evans

Harry Evans (7 February 1946 – 7 September 2014) was an Australian public servant. He was a Clerk of the Australian Senate, serving from 17 February 1988 until his retirement on 4 December 2009. This 21-year title makes him the longest-serving Clerk of the Australian Senate.

Evans was born in Lithgow, New South Wales. He studied at the University of Sydney. He was married to Rhonda Evans. They had three children.

Evans died after a long illness on 7 September 2014 in Canberra, aged 68.[1][2]
