Hauts-de-France is an administrative region of France. It was created in 2016. It was created by combining the former regions of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy. The capital of the région is Lille.

Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardy was the temporary name for the region.

Place du Général de Gaulle, the central square of in Lille, northeastern France. Behind the Column of the Goddess is the bell tower of the Chamber of Commerce. The large building to the right (on the square) is the Vieille Bourse (Old Stock Market).
