Iowa City metropolitan area
The Iowa City Metropolitan Region Area, as defined under the United States Census Bureau, is a metro region in East Central Iowa with two main counties. They're Johnson and Washington counties. The former has Iowa City being the county seat and most people living there. According to reports, as of December 31, 2023, the Metro Area had more than 180,000 people living there. [1]
