the Istanbul nightclub shooting was a mass shooting in the early hours of 1 January 2017 in the European part of Istanbul, Turkey.[1] Uzbek ISIL member Abdulkadir Masharipov used an AK-47 assault rifle to shoot over 100 people in Reina nightclub, killing 39 of them.[1]
