Jack McCloskey
John William "Jack" McCloskey (October 19, 1925 – June 1, 2017) was an American basketball player, coach and executive. He played for the Philadelphia Warriors for one season in 1953. McCloskey coached the Portland Trail Blazers from 1972 through 1974. After coaching, he became general manager for the Minnesota Timberwolves and for the Detroit Pistons. He was born in Mahoney City, Pennsylvania.
McCloskey died from complications of Alzheimer's disease on June 1, 2017 at his home in Savannah, Georgia, aged 91.[1]
