Jack Thompson (actor)
Jack Thompson AM (born John Hadley Pain; 31 August 1940) is an Australian actor. He is best known for his roles in Australian movies such as Sunday Too Far Away (1975), Breaker Morant (1980), The Club (1980) and The Man from Snowy River (1982). In 2002, he was made an honorary member of the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS).
Thompson was born in Manly, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales. He went to the University of Queensland in Brisbane.[1] He has two children.
