Jan Fischer (politician)
Jan Fischer (born January 2, 1951) is a Czech politician. He was Prime Minister of the Czech Republic from May 2009 to June 2010. He was also President of the European Council from May 8, 2009 to June 30, 2009.
Later he was Minister of Finance from July 2013 to January 2014. In 2013 Fischer ran in the presidential election. In the first round of the election, held in January 2013, he placed third with 16.35% of the vote (841,437 votes).[1]
