Jim Hawkes
Frederick James Hawkes (June 21, 1934 – May 9, 2019) was a Canadian politician. He was a member of the Progressive Conservative Party. He served as a member of of the Canadian Parliament for Calgary West from 1979 to 1993. After the 1993 federal election, future Prime Minister Stephen Harper became the MP for Calgary West. Hawkes was born in Calgary, Alberta. His daughter is actress Terri Hawkes.
Hawkes had dementia in his final years. He died on May 9, 2019 in Calgary, at the age of 84.[1]
