Jimmy Dickinson
James William Dickinson MBE (25 April 1925 – 8 November 1982) was an English footballer who played as a left half.

Dickinson was from Alton and joined Portsmouth after the war. With Portsmouth, he won the First Division in the 1948–49 and 1949–50 seasons. He played 48 times for England between 1949 and 1956. When he retired he became Secretary of Portsmouth. In 1977 he became Portsmouth's manager. He had a heart attack in 1979 and retired. His face is shown in the seats at Portsmouth's home, Fratton Park.
Dickinson played 764 league games for Portsmouth, more than any other player for the side.
