John Love
John Love is an American businessman and co-owner of the owner of Red Rocks Café, a restaurant located in the Charlotte, North Carolina.[1][2]

Early life and education
John earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 1981 and a Masters in Business Administration and Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1983.[3] John is also a CPCC culinary graduate.[4]
Career
From May 1987 to August 1997, John Love was the owner and Head Chef of Loafers.[3] In 1992, John opened the original Red Rocks Café in South Charlotte, which at the time was more of a bakery.[5][6] Later in 1998, John Love and Ron Herbert founded the Red Rocks brand in SouthPark.[7][8] In 2003, they expanded to Birkdale Village in Huntersville.[9][2]
In 2018, John and Herbert opened a branch at Redstone Shopping Center, which closed in 2023.[10] As of November 2023, they were planning to expand the restaurant to Ballantyne and South End.[11]
