Kairouan Governorate
Kairouan Governorate (Tunisian Arabic: ولاية قيروان <span title="Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:Language/data/ISO 639 override' not found. transliteration" class="Unicode" style="white-space:normal; text-decoration: none">Wilāyat Qiyrwān) is one of the twenty-four governorates of Tunisia. It is in the central-eastern part of the country. It covers an area of 6,712 km².[1] As of the 2014 census, 570,559 people lived there.[2][3] The capital is Kairouan.
