Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa

His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa (20 November 1935 – 11 November 2020) was a Bahraini royal and politician. He was the unelected 1st Prime Minister of Bahrain from 1971 until his death in 2020.[1] He was the longest-serving prime minister in the world.[2]

Khalifa is the uncle of the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.[3]
Khalifa died at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota on 11 November 2020, just two weeks before his 85th birthday.[4]
