Map of Japanese provinces with Kibi highlighted

Kibi Province (吉備国 Kibi no kuni?) was a very old province of Japan in the area as Okayama Prefecture and eastern Hiroshima Prefecture on the island of Honshū.[1] It was sometimes called Bishū (備州?).

Kibi was divided into Bizen, Bitchū, and Bingo provinces in the late 7th century.[2]
