Maziah Palace was built to replace the old Green Palace, which was destroyed by fire in 1882.
Menara MBKT (MBKT Tower) is the headquarters of Kuala Terengganu City Council. This 138-metre tall building has 31 floors and is the tallest building in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
This century-old building represents a type of traditional Terengganu architecture known as Rumah Limas. It was formerly the head office of Terengganu Religious Affairs Department and later, Kuala Terengganu Town Board. It now houses the Persatuan Sejarah Malaysia (Malaysian Historical Society), Terengganu Branch.
